Condition of the car :
The car was delivered to "Riga Master Workshop" in July 2008. It was in condition, not allowing driving it. To tell the truth, many things have been heavily worn out, and, for example, radio did not work at all, however, the car was running like a miracle.
Work task
When the car was received, first of all, we carried out a detailed visual assessment of its technical condition that served the basis for assignment of the initial work task and restoration work schedule.
Work task for repair and restoration of this cabriolet "Mercedes-Benz 280SE" envisaged to disassemble the car completely, repair the body, repair defects of component parts and units, replace completely damaged parts, paint the body, assemble the car and prepare for technical inspection. All the works were divided to following stages:
- disassembly of the car, identification of defects;
- listing of replaceable and missing parts;
- repair of the car repair and component parts;
- painting and anticorrosion treatment of the body;
- repair of the front and rear axles and brakes;
- repair of the motor and gearbox;
- assembly, testing and final inspection of the car.
