Actual report
The suspension and drivetrain overhaul for the Mercedes Benz 300SEL3,5 w109 1972 restoration has advanced to the final mock-up stages. Our workshop specialists repaired and cleaned the rear axle, and prepared it for installation on the car.
The primary component housing was stripped of surface scale and treated with a protective black chassis coating. During disassembly, we inspected the internal differential stabilizer bar and detached the independent suspension arms, shock absorbers, and ancillary linkages for checking. Additionally, the rear braking infrastructure—including the brake calipers, discs, and emergency shoes—was systematically serviced and test-fitted onto the axle hubs to verify concentricity before final vehicle installation.
