The structural Mercedes Benz 300SEL3,5 w109 1972 restoration at Riga Master Workshop is proceeding with intensive bodywork on the vehicle's front exterior panels. This week, our technicians successfully restored the front fenders, addressing localized corrosion and perforation identified on the lower trailing edges and headlight surrounds.
Technical remediation involved precision grinding to bare metal, followed by the fabrication and welding of steel patches to restore the original contours. We share the photos and video to document the final surfacing and alignment of these components prior to their reinstallation on the chassis.
