Actual report
The technical dismantling of the Mercedes Benz 250SL w113 restoration project at Riga Master Workshop has advanced to the upper structural frame. This week, we removed the front window along with its specialized structural surrounds to evaluate the state of the forward pillars.
Here are some photos of the process, documenting the systematic detachment of the heavy upper chrome trim panels, side window guide channels, and perimeter rubber weather stripping. Technical inspection of the exposed windshield frame revealed areas of localized corrosion, deep pitting, and historical material degradation along the pillars and top crossmember. These structural sections will undergo precision rust remediation and metal work during the upcoming body repair stage.
Comprehensive progress and dismantling photos can be found on the Riga Master Workshop website: https://www.rmw.lv/page/en/mercedes-benz-250sl-w113-dismantling/
