Workshop Progress Report: Transmission Linkage & Interior Upholstery PhaseThe technical update covers cabin fitment and mechanical controls for the Mercedes Benz 190SL restoration project.This text will describe photographs of the car assembling process as work progressed on the transmission tunnel and rear cockpit trim. This week we continue the assembling and installation process of the gear switch and interior covers. Technicians rebuilt the floor shift lever linkage, fitting fresh rubber boots, guide bushings, and protective tunnel housings over the newly painted transmission hump. In the upholstery department, original patterns were traced and cut from premium blue leather.
