Assembling and final tests

We started installation prepared components onto the restored frame.

New rubber bumps were inserted into the pockets.

We attached to the frame prepared front axle components.

We assembled rear spring packages and attached rear axle to the frame.

We attached master cylinder unit to the frame.

We attached components of the chassis lubrication system to the frame.

We attached braking system control leavers to the frame.

We connected hand braking system components to the rear axle.

We installed new rear spring leather gaiters.

We installed restored fuel tank onto the frame.

We started preparation of the body for painting, launched assembling of the chassis and engine, as well as we continued restoration of the chassis and engine components.

We attached to the chassis restored fuel tank.

We attached to the chassis restored fuel pump and new fuel system piping.

We attached to the chassis restored propeller shaft with support bearing.

We attached restored steering gear to the frame.

While body was in the paintshop, we continued assembling of the chassis and engine, as well as preparation of the restored components for installation.

We assembled and installed overhauled front shock absorbers.

We installed renovated chassis lubrication system.

We joined renovated engine and transmission.

We installed restored power plant onto the chassis.

Intake system was completed installing restored air filter.

We received for installation set of new body supports.

We manufactured and installed previously missing stabilizer bar bracket.

Restored horns were returned to the prescribed place.

We installed restored braking booster.

Overhauled starter motor we installed onto the powerplant.

We continued assembling of the chassis and motor, restoration of the components for chassis and motor, as well as started installation of the restored components onto the body. We performed first initial start of the engine to check operation of the restored systems.                       

We returned to the prescribed place renovated manufacturer’s plates.

We attached to the firewall all necessary layers of the insulation materials.

We attached to the floor of the body renovated heat screens.

We connected to the wiring electrical appliances located on the firewall.

Delivered for installation new exhaust system was inaccurate, so we did necessary corrections to achieve fit of pipes.

We installed exhaust system using new brackets. With new exhaust attached, we started engine and completed pairing of the carburettors.

We continued assembling of the body and chassis using restored components. As new wiring loom was placed in the body we started installation of the components related to the electrical system.  

We connected new wiring to fuse box and distribution box.

We installed onto the firewall restored voltage regulator and other restored appliances.

We placed restored rear relays into luggage compartment and connected them to the new wiring.

We removed prepared body from the transport rig.

We placed body onto prepared chassis.

As position of the body was adjusted, we fixed it into the place.

We installed mechanical components joining items on the body and chassis.

We attached wiring to the chassis components.

We installed prepared steering column and connected it to the steering gear and transmission.

We installed onto the dash plate all restored instruments and controls.

We installed restored braking fluid jars and filled up the system.

We continued installation of the restored components of the chassis, body and motor, as well as restoration of the interior and trimming. As we finished installation of the body onto the chassis and connection of the all appliances to the new wiring, we started engine to check operation of the restored systems.

We installed recreated plywood floor of the luggage compartment.

We installed fresh layer of the sound deadening material into restored heating system ducts.

We installed restored heater matrices and cabin heating and demisting ducts into dedicated position.

We installed restored underwing blower units.

We returned in place restored jars for the braking system fluid.

We lied down interior wiring harness and attached to the body new wooden nailing pads needed for recreation of the interior.

We continued installation of the restored components of the chassis, body and motor, as well as restoration of the interior and trimming.

As painted body arrived from the paintshop we continued assembling of the vehicle.

We attached to the body all removed components and made necessary adjustments.

We applied protective wax over all hidden cavities of the bodywork.

We connected to the new wiring all dashboard appliances.

We glued sound and heat insulation over air intake ducts.

We reconstructed air ducting under the body.

We installed and connected to the wiring rear end lighting devices.

Using restored components, we assembled door windows.

We installed re-plated decorations onto the doors.

We continued installation of the restored components of the chassis, body and motor, as well as restoration of the interior and trimming.

We produced new partition wall and tailored insulation layer.

Partition wall behind passenger compartment back in place.

Arrived current batch of the spare parts.

We preassembled and installed front bumper.

Restored radiator grille and mascot back in place.

Preassembled fog lamps back in place.

We tailored and installed new headliner.

Restored roof lamp returned in place.

We installed restored wooden frames of the rear and front screens.

We installed re-plated door window frames.

New weather seals were installed all around the body.

Restored dashboard panel back in place since now.

We attached hard insulation mats over the floor pan of the passenger compartment.

We put first layer of the insulation material over the lover part of the toe board.

We put additional layer of insulation over the lover area of the toe board.

We attached insulation mats to the side panels of the passenger compartment.

We put additional insulation under the second row seat.

We installed restored wooden door finishers.

We attached new door trimming panels to the door carcasses and installed restored handles.

We finished assembling of the rear doors.

We preassembled restored dash bow.

We installed all dashboard instruments and connected all appliances to the electrical wiring.

We laid down new carpets.

We installed restored central dash plate, as well as restored radio unit and under-dash tray.

We installed new wooden radio faceplate.

We fixed in place all controls, which were located under the dash panel.

We completed air conditioning system unit located in the luggage compartment.

We arranged air conditioning system inlet and outlet channels as well as renovated control module on the parcel shelf.

We finished recreation of the passenger compartment trimming.

We installed rear seat and tested function of armrest.

We installed restored front row seats.

We started our test drive program.

We took care of imperfections discovered during test drive.

We removed radiator for pressure test looking for the source of leakage.

Most serious leakage was found through drain tap.

We disassembled unit for necessary additional treatment of the sealing surface.

We tried to follow request from owner to keep as much original parts as possible, though attempt to restore function of main braking cylinder using parts from repair kit was unsuccessful.

Still main cylinder was leaking.

Surface of the cylinder was too much damaged by corrosion to withstand leakage of braking liquid. It was necessary to replace this unit.

During the test-drive wipers suddenly stopped working.

We disassembled drive mechanism replaced damaged part.

We polished hubcaps made of stainless steel and installed re-painted decoration rings.

We installed renovated hubcaps onto the wheels.

We completed installation of the external decoration elements.

We finished restoration works and installation of the engine components.

We finished assembling works on components in the engine compartment.

We prepared vehicle for handover procedure.

We finished assembling and completed initial test drive.
