Bodywork repair

We finished dismantling of the interior and preparation of the body for painting.

We discovered damaged by corrosion area on the firewall, which we had to replace before painting.

We removed powerplant to get access for inspection of the panels, which form engine compartment.

During manual cleaning of the exterior panels of the body, we discovered carelessly finished seam of the replaced rear wing, which we had to rework.

We discovered more than centimetre thick layer of the filler on the doors, so we had to recreate correct shape of the door panel before painting.

Ingress of the water into luggage compartment was caused by improper repair of the damaged rear panel.

As cleaning of the body was completed, we repaired damaged door panel.

Manually we cleaned also all removed body components.

We used sand blast to clean affected by corrosion areas of the engine compartment and front axle.

We replaced damaged area of the rear panel to achieve correct fit of the rear lamp.

We prepared body for painting and started recreation of the damaged components.

We started preparation works of the body for painting.

We prepared removed body components for the painting as well.

We primed prepared body.

During preparation process, we continuously monitored compatibility of all adjacent components.

We painted all removed body components.

We painted body according to Mercedes paint scheme.
