Initial condition and work order

1.Original condition assessment

Mercedes-Benz 300SE was delivered to RMW for initial assessment shortly before project start. Car was in running condition with certain technical problems. Based on initial examination initial project time schedule was drawn up and reconciled.

Bottom part of the body had been repaired (measuring device shows on certain areas more than 2 mm thick filler shell), though there are again great number of paint bubbles over rusted areas on the front and rear wings, rear panel, trunk lid, as well as doorsteps. Rear panel is not completely repaired after accident and even additionally drilled hole on the bracket does not ensure correct position of rear bumper.

Interior is almost complete. There is missing radio - dedicated recess is occupied by self-installed air condition device outlet. There is missing also one piece of wooden dashboard decoration under glove compartment and clock. Missing are also both chromed door windows top edge decorations.

Engine compartment is also almost complete - at the first glimpse there are just wrong distributor cap and incorrect alternator. Modified wiring harness with large amount of relays and fuses simply hanging in the wires is scaring.

Mechanics theory says there are needed at least two spider joints for proper cardan drive - in this case destroyed rear bearing of the adapted alternator clearly confirms theory.
