The clutch pedal axes will have to be repaired.
However, the brake tubes are too badly damaged and will have to be replaced.
It is clear that fluid has leaked from the main brake cylinder. We dismantled the brake cylinder which would later be completely taken apart to determine its defects in detail.
We have dismantled the front axle together with the engine and gearbox. The front suspension is in good condition overall; the front part of the axle is most affected by rust.
The joist is more badly corroded than other parts.
After the axles have been dismantled, areas of the body affected by rust which were hard to see before come into view.
The longerons are severely corroded, while the wheel arcs are also corroded from the underside.
The right side front arc is more badly corroded than the left.
After dismantling the suspension and transmission, the true degree of corrosion to the car’s floor becomes visible. From experience we know that the appearance will be even worse after treatment with a sandblaster.
The partition wall between the salon and engine cavity is also corroded - in some places more so and less so in others.
As is often the case with old and long neglected cars, corrosion has had a severe impact on zones that are difficult to reach - above the rear axle and around the fuel tank.
The brake tubes are damaged beyond repair - corroded and hole-ridden.
The pedal fastening mechanism is suffused in oils and dirt, but can be renovated.
The car’s floor is corroded in many places. One of the fragments.
Inspection of the front joist reveals mechanical deformities. Therefore, the car has been involved in an accident at some point.

After taking them apart, we individually examine all chrome components to determine which can be repaired and which have to be replaced.
Windscreen mouldings, the lateral horns of both bumpers, decorative wheel discs, the circumference of one front lamp and decorative wheel rings can all be repaired.
The side glass rims will be sent for chroming.
Salon, lamp and other external decorative parts to be chromed. It is unlikely that we’ll succeed in repairing the oxidized green circumferences of the turn signal lights.
The chromed part of the steering wheel is also seriously corroded.
