Restoration

Actual report

The Mercedes Benz 300SEL 3.5 W109 1972 restoration continues its rigorous bodywork schedule at Riga Master Workshop. This week, we focused on the complete structural repair of the rear section of the right sill. As documented in these photographs, the severely corroded original metal, including the inner jacking point structure, was cut out. New, custom-fabricated metal sections have been welded into place, restoring the structural integrity and profile of the sill. The precision welding ensures that the new panel sections perfectly replicate the original factory design.
