Workshop Progress Report: Gear Selector & Interior Console AssemblyThe technical log tracks interior assembly progress for the Steyr Daimler Puch 230GE restoration project.This text will describe photographs of the car assembling as work centered on the central transmission tunnel. Technicians overhauled the automatic transmission shifter mechanism, replacing the gear indicator strip and wiring before mounting the unit to the floor structure. Craftsmen upholstered the floor tunnel shroud and gear selector console housing in tailored turquoise leather with contrast stitching, integrating the selector gate and rubber shift boots into the cabin.
