Workshop Progress Report: Glazing & Weatherstripping Assembly Phase
The technical log tracks the ongoing reassembly stage of the Steyr Daimler Puch 230GE restoration project.
This text will describe photographs of the car assembling as work focused on cabin weatherproofing and glass installation. This week we installed the front window, doors rubbers and other exterior parts. Technicians fitted a new rubber gasket around the laminated windshield glass on the preparation bench before roping and securing the entire assembly into the painted cab frame. New perimeter door aperture seals, window channel guides, and cab pillar weatherstripping strips were systematically aligned and seated into the body channels to ensure proper insulation.
