Actual report
The Audi Ur-Quattro restoration bodywork continues at Riga Master Workshop with critical alignment adjustments before entering the paint preparation phase. Although the initial assignment focused on the repair of the rear fender bottoms and sills, our comprehensive inspection revealed that the rear lights were significantly out of line with the surrounding body panels.
To address this misalignment, we initiated targeted repair work on the deformed fender sections adjacent to the rear light recesses. As these photographs illustrate, the contours were corrected using metal reshaping techniques, including the application of molten tin to precisely rebuild the corners and edges. This meticulous process ensures the restored rear lights fit perfectly and align correctly with the surrounding metalwork, maintaining the vehicle's authentic geometry.
