Restoration and assembley

Work process.

3. Front and rear axle, as well as brake system repairs.

During the course of the determination of defects, no mechanical damage or defects to the elements of the front and rear axles were discovered. Only the worn-out elastic elements had to be replaced - boxes and cushions which we will carry out after receiving the body after it has been painted. Likewise, we will also have to replace the brake system's elastic hoses. We replaced the cuffs and packing rings for the main, as well as operating and brake cylinders. We replaced the stabilizer boxes and axle suspension cushions, as well as the elastic connection within the steering mechanism.

4. Engine and gearbox repairs.

After partial dismantling of the engine, we polished the engine block heads, polished the valve sockets and replaced the burned out valve. We welded the broken outflow receptacle. We replaced the cuffs and gaskets of the clutch's main and operating cylinders. In assembling these components onto the body, we also replaced the connecting tube. Prior to installation, we renovated the water pump and the fuel pump by replacing worn out parts with new ones. We replaced the carburettor needle, acceleration pump plunger and all gaskets. In the ignition system, we replaced the distributor contact points and cover, as well as the ignition sparkplugs and all sparkplug wires with their caps.

5. Body repairs, painting and anti-corrosion treatment.

Body repairs in this project include removing old paint and spots damaged by corrosion from the body, preparation of painted surfaces, surface priming, rectifying surface defects, preparing the surface for painting, painting and varnishing. We carried out these jobs at a specialized repairs workshop which had a painting chamber enabling us to ensure the necessary paint coating quality. After painting, the surface and its components were subject to ultra-fine refinement, polishing and waxing. We treated the body's sealed cavities with anti-corrosion agents and affixed sound insulating material during the following assembly process.
