The engineering stage of the Steyr Daimler Puch 230GE restoration has moved to final powertrain dress-up and climate retrofitting.As captured in the progress photographs, the high-output alternator and core cooling radiator have been securely mounted using custom-fabricated bracketry. This week we started instal the air condition system units in the engine compartment, integrating the condenser unit directly ahead of the cooling core. This setup fulfills one of the car owner wishes to upgrade the car with the air condition system. The technical documentation for the Shelby GT500 1967 restoration project at Riga Master Workshop has been updated with the completion of the cockpit auxiliary subsystems. This week, we share the photos of the car windshield wipers dismantling, repair and assemble for the installation on the car.The mechanical wiper linkage assembly, drive wheel arm, and internal motor components were systematically unbolted from the firewall recess. Upon inspection, we discovered that the car retained its original finish and therefore during dismantling we will continue to meticulously document all these historical traces so that we can restore them and assist other restorers seeking to preserve this model's original appearance. The structural stripping phase of our Mercedes Benz 250SL w113 restoration project has moved to the vehicle's interior cabin. This week we removed, dismantled and inspected the floor cover to evaluate the underlying metal floors for hidden rust and structural degradation.Here are some photos of the process, showing the systematic removal of the steering infrastructure, central wooden storage tray, and multi-piece carpet sections. Once the floor mats were completely extracted and laid out for cataloging, a thorough technical inspection of the exposed floor pans was carried out.
