Vehicle was delivered to the workshop for restoration in not driveable condition. All main components were present and in repairable technical condition.

Visual inspection of the components suggested us avoid efforts to start engine.

Fuel lines were filled with such inadequate substance.

Visually all chromed elements had damages caused by corrosion.

Rust spots had been cleaned from the body simply by sand paper.

Obvious presence of the water in the fuelling system.

Paintwork was damaged on each and any panel.

Protective coating on the bottom of the chassis and in the wheel wells was separated from surface it should protect.

All rubber components suffered from ageing.

One more evidence of the previous “underwater life” – all trimming components of the interior made of plywood were separated into unattached layers.

Restoration contract of JaguarXKE Series 2 (2+2) (1969) VIN 1R41980BW anticipated disassembling, complete restoration and assembling of the car, as far as possible preserving existing original components and parts.
